சப் ஜான் (Sab John) என்பவர் ஒரு இந்தியத் திரைக்கதை எழுத்தாளர் மற்றும் மலையாளம் மற்றும் தமிழ்த் திரைப்படங்களில் பணியாற்றும் நடிகர் ஆவார். இவர் சாணக்யன் (1989) மற்றும் குணா (1991) ஆகியப் படங்களில் பணியாற்றியதற்காக அறியப்பட்டவர்.
தொழில்
சப் ஜானின் பரபரப்பூட்டும் திரைப்படமான சாணக்கியன் (1989) படத்தின் வழியாக எழுத்தாளராக அறிமுகமானார். அப்படமானது அப்போது தொழில்நுட்பத்தில் மேம்பட்டது எனக் கருதப்பட்டது.[2][3] படத்தின் கதை 18 நாட்களில் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது. இவர் படத்தை 450 பக்கங்களில் இயக்குநர் டி. கே. இராஜீவ் குமாருடன் எழுதினார்.[4] அடுத்த ஆண்டு குணா என்ற காதல் படத்தின் மூலம் தமிழில் அறிமுகமானார்.[1][5] வியூகம் (1990), காந்தாரி (1992) உள்ளிட்ட பல மலையாளப் படங்களுக்கு திரைக்கதை எழுதிய பின்னர். சில்லுனு ஒரு காதல் (2006) படத்தின் வழியாக தமிழ் திரையுலகத்துக்கு மீண்டும் வந்தார்.
