ஓராசு அல்லது ஓரேசு (Horace) என அறியப்படும் குயின்டசு ஓராசியசு ஃபிளேக்கசு (Quintus Horatius Flaccus - டிசம்பர் 8, கிமு 65 - நவம்பர் 27, கிமு 8) அகசுட்டசின் காலத்தில் வாழ்ந்த ஒரு முன்னணி இத்தாலியக் கவிஞர் ஆவார்.[nb 1][nb 2][1][nb 3][nb 4][1]
இவர் அக்காலத்தில் வெனூசியா என அழைக்கப்பட்ட இன்றைய வெனோசாவில் பிறந்தார். இது ஆபுலியாவுக்கும், லூசானியாவுக்கும் இடையில் எல்லைப் பகுதியில் இருந்த ஒரு இடம் ஆகும். ஓராசின் தந்தை ஒரு விடுதலை பெற்ற அடிமை. எனினும் ஓராசு ஒரு விடுதலை பெற்ற மனிதனாகவே பிறந்தார். ஓராசின் தந்தை வெனூசியாவில் ஒரு சிறிய தோட்டம் வைத்திருந்தார். பின்னர் உரோமுக்குக் குடி பெயர்ந்த அவர் அங்கே ஏலவிற்பனை இடங்களில் ஒரு இடைத் தரகராக இருந்தார். இதனால் ஓராசின் தந்தையாரால் ஓராசின் படிப்புக்காகப் போதிய அளவு பணம் செலவு செய்ய முடிந்தது. தொடக்கக் கல்வியை உரோமில் பெற்ற ஓராசு, கிரேக்கமும், மெய்யியலும் கற்பதற்காக ஏதென்சுக்குச் சென்றார்.
